Anne has appeared twice as Joan of Arc in
Jean Anouilh's
The
Lark, firstly in 1962
whilst with the Sheffield Playhouse and 4½ years later at
Leatherhead. Both times her performance was praised.
As can be seen on her Theatre listings
page, this is by no means the only time Anne has appeared in
different productions of the same play, sometimes playing different
roles, on other occasions the same one. In most instances, there was
a gap of several years but in the case of
A
Day In The Death Of Joe Egg,
there was only a year between her first taking the role of Sheila at
Leicester and repeating it at Westcliff-on-Sea.
